Brazilian star Romario, the 1994 World Cup champion, announced at the age of 58 his return to the stadiums and his reversal of his decision to retire to help the club he heads, after the Seleção striker left the stadiums 15 years ago. Romario, 58 years old, was registered in the roster of the America Rio de Janeiro team, which competes in the second division of the Carioca Championship, where Romario will participate in the ranks of the team that was founded in 1904 and is going through an economic crisis, to play with his son Romarinho, who joined the team last March. Romario posted on his Instagram account: “I will not participate in all the rounds of the tournament, but I will play some matches with my heart’s team and achieve my last dream, to play alongside my son.” Romario, who played 70 international matches and scored 55 goals, will also wear the shirt of the America de Rio de Janeiro club, which he has headed since January and whose colors he defended for a period in 2009, in the second division of the state of Rio de Janeiro, which begins in May and ends next August. Romario will receive the lowest salary in the team and will donate it to the team he heads.
