This includes giving birth without basic medical care, a lack of hygiene products and privacy in exceptionally unsanitary living conditions.
Our teams work tirelessly to support women’s committees in overcrowded shelters, provide psychosocial support to women survivors of gender-based violence, and create safe spaces for them.
However, we must do more to protect the rights of women and girls, and prioritize unrestricted, gender-responsive humanitarian assistance.
An immediate ceasefire is a minimum.
