Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of
UNRWA, said that the situation in Gaza is catastrophic, as there is no way to live, neither water, nor food, nor electricity.
The Commissioner-General of UNRWA said in a statement: There is not enough “animal fodder” for people to eat in northern Gaza. While a “man-made famine” looms, aid is prevented from reaching the north.
Lazzarini added: The number of trucks entering the Gaza Strip decreased instead of increasing it.
The Commissioner-General of UNRWA concluded her statement by saying: There must be a ceasefire for humanitarian reasons and to eliminate the catastrophe of food shortages and famine.
